Background | Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is a serum glycoprotein that enters embryonic cells through receptor-mediated endocytosis. AFP is a marker of pathological conditions, including neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases, antioxidant effects, growth regulators in different cells and cancers, modulators of the immune response, and carriers of fatty acids and estrogens. AFP pass toxins can damage the bone marrow inhibition cells, so as to release the congenital and adaptive immunity to destroy cancer cells. |
